My name is Zoua Pa Yang and I am a graphic designer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2020, I graduated from Mount Mary University with my BA in Art Therapy and Minor in Studio Arts. During my senior year at Mount Mary University, I had an internship as an art therapist at a residential community where I created and hosted creative sessions with people of all ages and disabilities. While I wasn’t hosting creative sessions, it was also my duty to  design flyers to advertise community events. While designing flyers, I discovered that I enjoyed creating layouts, appealing designs, and studying the psychology of what captured and attracted the interest of the residents to read and look at flyers. After graduating with my BA in Art Therapy, I pursued graphic design in 2021 and graduated with my Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). in 2023.

As a graphic designer, my most important values include communication and innovative solutions. Whether I am working with clients or team members, I always value communication to understand what is needed to not only create an appealing design, but to create something that is meaningful, convenient, innovative, and effective.
